As a small business owner with a passion for community empowerment, Joanne brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Her journey began in the voluntary sector, where she dedicated herself to ensuring that the voices of our community were heard in the realm of public services.
With a strong focus on community outreach, Joanne built a robust network that fostered active participation and collaboration. This allowed her to facilitate meaningful connections and empower individuals to play an active role in shaping their surroundings by championing their needs, desires, and concerns. Joanne provided valuable support to numerous groups in their endeavour to develop projects that enriched our community. From concept to implementation, Joanne guided these groups, helping them secure the necessary funding to bring their visions to life. Witnessing the positive impact these projects had on our community only fuelled her dedication to fostering growth and progress. Now, as a highly experienced and adaptable Bid Manager Joanne’s focus remains on utilising her skills and experience to empower individuals and organisations alike. She is committed to helping you navigate the complex landscape of bidding, project development, funding acquisition, and community engagement. With decades of experience and a proven track record of producing high quality, contract winning proposals within tight deadlines, turning around work under extreme pressure Joanne’s focus is on building partnerships and ‘Winning Together’.
Commenting on her mission, Joanne said ‘‘I set up Wordsmith in 2021, to provide affordable, professional bidding and grant funding services to SMEs and third sector organisations, with a focus on delivery of high-quality services, transforming business proposals into captivating narratives that engage and persuade target audiences’.’
Outside of work Joanne is a keen weight lifter with a passion for running. She also loves cooking, live music and getting out in the open air with her dog, Star, taking on some challenging hikes.
